We will review this internally, but encourage feedback on this issue here to understand the use case of allowing users to see your start and end location.
Were also keen to understand if this would be a user wide setting, or something you would want to edit per activity.
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Jerry Nairn, thanks for the suggestion.
Currently we hide all start and ends by default so that a user cannot see your specific home and work locations. This is particularly important for cycling, where often bikes are stolen by imposters on platforms such as Strava looking for start locations - but also to protect users wider privacy.
You're able to see your own full activities, but your start and end are hidden from other users.
I'm keen to understand more about the use case of displaying them. Is there a particular reason you'd like to be able to display your start and end locations more accurately to others? We're only hiding around 200m from the public feed currently.
Thanks
Jerry Nairn
Henry Aspden, I wasn't aware of the issue with bike theft, but that makes sense. I also understand the situation of the safety of users who don't want to reveal their home address.
I mentioned it because I saw my activity at a race with 1800 runners, and it said the begin and end were hidden. That seems pointless, especially considering that my activity was imported from Strava, where I don't hide anything.
I think ideally this would be something users can set a default for and can change on each activity. The default could be the same as it is now.
I don't consider this a high priority, but I hope you will leave it under review for a while to see if there are any others who would upvote it.
One question. The "hidden" part is not on the map, but is it not hidden on the graphs of other data, bg, hr, pace, etc? Is the entire activity shown in the graphs?

Jerry Nairn: yes I can see a good use case for this now.
I think I'd also like the ability to set this per activity so you could have it default to hide, but open up an activity in your case when maybe it's a mass event and location privacy is not a concern.
As for the CGM, these are displayed in full, it's just the GPS location which is hidden to others (visible to yourself).
We've added it to our to-do list as a low-priority item, but it will get done for you.
Thanks for suggesting it !
